Lambda Performance Management with Cloudshot

AWS Lambda Usage Report provides detailed insights into your serverless function executions, showing how your applications consume resources in real-time. It tracks essential metrics like invocation counts, execution duration, memory usage, and associated costs for each Lambda function.

Steps:

  1. Go to the 'Cloudshot' Menu in that click on 'AWS Lambda Usage Report'.
  2. The following screen will appear here.

The AWS Lambda Usage Report works as follows:-

  1. Region Selection:
    • The first step is to select a specific AWS region for the report.
    • Choose a region from a dropdown menu before proceeding.
  2. Report Interface:
    • After selecting a region, users are presented with the main report interface.
  3. Time Range Selection:
    • Users can select a time range for the report. 
  4. Data Visualization:
    • The main feature is a bar chart titled 'Lambda Function Call Count Chart'.
    • This chart displays the number of calls for each Lambda function.
    • One function shows significantly higher usage compared to others in the given time period.
  5. Detailed Data Table:
    • There's a table with detailed metrics for each Lambda function.
    • Columns include: Function Name, Call Count, Average Execution Time (Seconds), Total Execution Time (Seconds), Error Count, and GBSeconds.
  6. Data Suppression Option:
    • There's a checkbox to 'Suppress zero data', allowing users to hide functions with no activity.
  7. Time Range Display:
    • The report shows the exact time range: 'Report from: 17-10-2024 02:08 PM to 17-10-2024 03:08 PM'

This report provides a comprehensive overview of Lambda function usage, allowing users to monitor performance, identify heavily used functions, and track errors across their AWS Lambda deployments in a specific region.
