Tag Integrity Audit Report
This report provides insights into the integrity of resource tagging, helping ensure that resources are properly categorized based on tags. It also allows you to drill down on tag values, identify incorrect tags, improve overall tagging accuracy.
On the Tag Integrity Audit Report page, click on the Select Accounts dropdown to view all available cloud accounts assigned to your user profile. Each account will be labeled by its cloud provider, such as:
Azure
AWS
GCP
Check the box next to the desired account(s) to include them in your report. The selected account will appear as checked and highlighted. You can select multiple accounts if you have access to more than one. Once your selection is complete, proceed to the next step to define the Select Tag Keys.

In this step, select the tag key(s) that will be used for the report, such as "environment" or "department." This helps filter the resources based on specific tag categories.
Example: "environment" is the tag key used to organize resources by different stages like "production" or "development."
After selecting the tag key, you can filter the values based on your desired parameters.

Here, you’ll define the correct tag values you are expecting across your selected resources.
Example: If you are expecting the tag "environment" to be labeled as production, enter this value in the correct values field.
This will allow the report to cross-reference actual values against the correct ones to identify any mismatches.

In this section, you’ll define the incorrect tag values that the audit identifies. The report will flag resources that do not match the correct values you've set in the previous step.
Example: If some resources are labeled with an incorrect tag, such as "prod" instead of "production," the system will highlight this inconsistency here.

Once you have selected the accounts, tag keys, correct tag values, and specified any incorrect values, click on the Generate Report button. The system will process the selected data and generate a detailed Tag Integrity Report, showing:
The Resources Scanned
The Correct Tags (properly tagged resources)
The Wrong Values (incorrect tag values)
The Accuracy Percentage of your tag integrity
In this section, the system will display the status of all the tags scanned. You’ll see a graphical breakdown showing the percentage of correct and incorrect tags across your resources.
Example: If 91.89% of your tags are correct and only 8.1% are incorrect, you will see a pie chart with green (correct) and red (incorrect) portions.

After generating the report, click on the Resources tab to view the detailed breakdown of your resources. For each resource, you’ll see:
Resource ID
Resource Type
Observed Value (the tag applied)
Expected Value (the tag value that should be applied)
Status (whether the tag is correct or incorrect)
Confidence Level (how confident the system is about its tag classification)

In this section, you will see a list of all the values found within your selected tag key, such as "environment," along with their respective frequencies. The system will also indicate the similarity of each value to the expected value.
Example: If two resources have a tag value "prod" but should be tagged as "production," these resources will be listed as having a 40% similarity.

Exporting Reports
After reviewing the results, you can export the report in PDF or Excel format using the export icon at the top-right of the dashboard. These exports can be shared with governance, FinOps, or compliance teams for further review and remediation planning.
