Tagging Compliance Dashboard
It provides a consolidated view of compliant, non-compliant, and untagged resources across multiple accounts, enabling better governance and cost allocation.
On the Tagging Compliance Dashboard, click on the Select Accounts dropdown to view all cloud accounts available under your profile.
Each account is labeled based on its cloud provider — for example:
• Azure
• AWS
• GCP
• Office 365
Check the box next to the desired account(s) to include them in your compliance report. The selected account will be highlighted (e.g., BT-FinOps Azure).
You can select multiple accounts if you have access to more than one.
Once the selection is complete, proceed to the next step to choose the Tag Keys to analyze.
After selecting the account(s), click on the Search and select keys field to choose one or more Tag Keys you want to assess for compliance.
Tag Keys typically represent metadata attributes such as:
• Department
• Environment
• Project
• Cost Center
You can select multiple tag keys for detailed analysis.
Optionally, check the Inherit Hierarchy box to ensure tags at the resource group level are also considered for all child resources. This feature ensures accurate compliance assessment for inherited tagging structures.
After selecting the Account(s) and Tag Key(s), click on the Generate Report button to produce the Tagging Compliance Report.
The system scans all selected resources and displays a comprehensive compliance summary, including:
Compliant Resources (% and count) – Resources with all required tags.
Non-Compliant Resources (% and count) – Resources missing one or more required tags.
Missing Values (% and count) – Resources with empty or null tag values.
Total Resources – Total number of resources analyzed.
Each section provides color-coded indicators for quick identification (green for compliant, red for non-compliant, yellow for missing values, and blue for totals).
This tab presents an overall Compliance Distribution through visual charts and tables:
Compliance Breakdown – Displays compliant, non-compliant, and missing-value percentages.
Most Critical Missing Tags – Highlights which tags are most frequently missing or incorrectly applied, along with their potential impact.
Switch between the following tabs to explore detailed resource-level insights:
Compliant Resources – Lists all resources that meet tagging requirements.
Non-Compliant Resources – Shows resources missing one or more tag keys.
Value Missing Resources – Displays resources where tag keys exist but have no assigned values.
After reviewing the results, you can export the report in PDF or Excel format using the export icon at the top-right of the dashboard. These exports can be shared with governance, FinOps, or compliance teams for further review and remediation planning.
