Cloning a VM allows you to:

  1. Quickly create multiple identical VMs without going through the full setup process for each one.
  2. Replicate a working environment for testing or development purposes.
  3. Scale out applications by creating multiple instances of the same VM configuration.
  4. Create backups or snapshots of a VM at a specific point in time.
To Launch VM Clone:
  1. Right-click on the VM icon in the diagram.
  2. In the context menu that appears, hover over 'Cloudshot Azure' to expand its submenu.
  3. Select 'Launch VM Clone' from the expanded submenu.
  4. A pop-up screen will appear after clicking on ‘Launch VM Clone’ below.
  5. Enter the number of VM instances you want to clone in the 'Number of VM Instances' field. The default value is set to 1.
  6. Click the 'Deploy to Azure' button to initiate the cloning process.
