Once the agent is installed, you have three main options:
1. Remove the agent:
- If you choose 'Yes,' the Datadog tool will be completely removed from your VM.
- You'd do this if you no longer want to use Datadog to monitor this particular VM.
2. Start the agent:
- When you start the agent, it begins collecting data about your VM's performance, such as how much memory it's using, how busy the CPU is, etc.
- This is useful when you want to begin or resume monitoring after a pause.
3. Stop the agent:
- The agent stops collecting and sending data about your VM.
- You might do this if you want to pause monitoring temporarily, perhaps during maintenance or to save on data transfer.
4. Display Datadog Agent Status:
- This option shows you the current state of the Datadog agent on your virtual machine.
- It tells you if the Datadog agent is 'Running' or not. In this case, it shows 'DatadogStatus Status: Running', which means the agent is active and working.
